Police appeal for information after car is stolen from outside Lanarkshire home

A car was stolen from outside a Lanarkshire home during the very early hours of Tuesday morning.

Police are now appealing for the public's help following the incident in Cumbernauld.

The black BMW X6 was taken from a driveway in the town's Tintock Place some time between midnight on March 20 and 4.40am the next morning.

It is believed the vehicle may have been driven to the Arns Road area.

Detective Inspector Jim Williamson said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.

“Enquiries so far show that those responsible arrived at the location in another car.

“Anyone who was driving in the area at the time who has dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries is asked to get in touch. We are also keen to speak to anyone with private CCTV footage.

“In addition, we are keen to speak to anyone in the Arns Road area between the time the BMW was taken and 8.10am on Tuesday, March 21, who may have seen it.”
